Due to the great importance of the tourism sector as the main driver of our country’s
economy we have classified industrial groups in tourism related industry as opposed
to other industries which are not tourism related. For example, a minibus driver
carrying nationals from the south to the north of the island will be classified as
transportation – other whereas a respondent working with a taxi association at one of
the airports will be classified as being engaged in tourism related transportation and
therefore would be classified as Transportation – tourism related.
